Think of a lash lift as a perm for your lashes. Perms are created by a chemical solution that changes the texture of your hair - or in this case lashes, to create a curl. Once the perming or lifting solution has been left on for the appropriate amount of time, it is followed by a neutralizing solution to halt the perming process and set the lashes into place.

This is a semi-permanent perming service, however our lashes go through a growth cycle (like all hair on our body) and we lose 1-3 natural lashes everyday. With this being said, the lash lift will last for the lifespan of your natural lash. Once the mature lashes fall out, new baby lashes will grow in it's place, and you will notice the effects of the lash lift lessen. By 6-8 weeks after your initial lift, you'll have enough new growth and will be ready for another one!

The chemical process of breaking the disulfide bonds within the lash is damaging to the lash if not performed correctly. Over processing the time on the lashes means the bonds are either not able to be reformed well enough or they break so far that they over-process. Applying the lotion to the ends of the lashes (which is not the area we want the re-direction of the lash to occur) can also cause damage to the lashes. The inclusion of lanolin in the lifting lotion offers moisture and nourishment to the lash while the bonds are being broken in order to soften the hair and provide support.

Tinting is a process of applying a safe, semi-permanent vegetable dye to your eyelashes. This is done to make your dull lashes appear not only darker, but also longer and fuller.

Most reactions to lash extensions adhesives is caused by contact with the skin and through a build-up of exposure to Cyanoacrylate (the ingredient found in all lash extensions adhesives). Elleebana’s Lash Lifting products and adhesives don’t contain cyanoacrylate so the chance of a reaction to lash lifting will be slim however a patch test is the best way to determine if you might have sensitivities.

A lash lift or tint can not be performed on lash extensions. Please have them fully removed before any treatment takes place

Avoid curling your natural lashes for at least 24hrs prior to treatment

Stop using waterproof mascara 3 days before your treatment. Waterproof mascara will leave a residue that prevents the glue from adhering

Stop using eyelash growth serums one week prior to treatment

Avoid oils, eye creams, or any lotions near your eyes before service

Arrive to treatment with all eye makeup removed

Remove contact lenses before treatment

Let us know if you would like to receive a chemical patch test 48 hrs before treatment to test for any allergies or reactions (placed on wrist or behind ear)

Avoid wetting lashes for the first 48 hours.

Do not use strong or oil based eye makeup removers for 48 hours after treatment.

Do not sleep on your face or on your side where your lashes are rubbing against the pillow, encouraging the lashes into a new direction. Avoid using a sleeping eye mask for first 48 hours.

Do not rub, pull, or pick at the area treated.

Avoid heat treatments/ facials that involve steaming for 48 hours.

Avoid wearing waterproof mascara

Avoid swimming, heated pools, saunas, hot showers, dishwasher, or heat from ovens for at least 48 hours

If any irritation occurs, apply a clean cold wet pad to the eye area or contact a doctor if the irritation persists.

The lash lift solutions contain small amounts of ethically sourced lanolin for added hydration classifying the product as non-vegan.

Serums can cause complications for lash lifts for a number of reasons. Serums can extend the growth phase of the lash, and this can have some differing results on your lifts. Please do not use your serum 48 hours before and after your service.

Someone that’s looking for a natural, low maintenance, lash service and/or someone who would like to still wear mascara - lash lifts would be a great option.

You will receive multiple reminders regarding your scheduled appointment. This gives you ample time to cancel or reschedule your appointment in a timely manner and avoid incurring any cancellation fees. You will be required to accept our cancellation policy when you book. WE WILL NO LONGER WAIVE ANY CANCELLATION FEES.

We understand that sometimes schedules change and therefore require at least 24 hours notice (from your booked appointment time) when attempting to cancel or reschedule your appointment with no card charge. Appointments canceled within 24 hours of appointment will incur a charge of 50% of the booked service amount. A client “No-Show” to an appointment will incur a 99% charge of the booked service amount.

***Please note that if you are over 15 minutes late for your appointment we may have to reschedule your service if it cannot be completed in the remaining time frame. If we do not hear from you 10 or more minutes into your scheduled appointment time, it is considered a “No-Show” and your card will be charged for 99% of the service amount scheduled.***

Eyelash tinting results typically last between four to six weeks.
